Ganes

Hurriganes was one of the reasons I never made it to law school. My life started to bend to the wrong track the first time I heard the "Roadrunner" album when I was about 8 or 9 years old. Here's my respect to the (late) Cisse & Albert & of course Remu who's still rocking. I MUST add that I had the priviledge of drinking whiskey with Albert a few months before he died in 1989 or so, at the Hotel Pasila in Helsinki. He was very cool and distant in his Boss -suit and dark glasses...

There's a lot of Hurriganes songs that I would like to do, but this one came out first. I love the text and the guitar theme that was obviously nicked from Needles & Pins (if that came out first?).

The production is a standard lead vocal, 2 (or maybe 3? ) backing vocals, rhythm guitar and bass. The lead guitar (less the actual solo) was played on a saturday night when I was quite drunk, and very creative :). The whole thing (as everything else so far) was recorded with a 2 € Skype headset as a microphone :) Talking about pro equipment...

The cover picture is created by my daughter. The beard is real, I had it for three weeks and then could'nt take the itch anymore... looked kinda cool though.

Here's the original, for those (?) who are not familiar with this Finnish rock n roll sensation from the 70's

And one more, a live version that sounds awful, but looks ... 70's.
